Frequently asked questions
The exact cause of psoriasis is unknown; however, it is believed to be related to an overactive immune system. This means that the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy skin cells, causing them to produce new skin cells too quickly. [1] This leads to the accumulation of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface – the visible red patches of psoriasis.
The hub.health medical team prescribes treatment for men and women over 18 who have been diagnosed with mild psoriasis and on medication before. People with severe psoriasis need an in-person consultation with a GP or specialist.
If you’re interested in our convenient online access to psoriasis treatment but don’t yet have a diagnosis, feel free to return once you’ve seen your GP. We’ll be ready to deliver your treatment to your door when ready.
Corticosteroids have proven to help psoriasis and be well tolerated. [4] Always follow the instructions provided by your hub.health medical team to maintain safety and efficacy, and limit the risk of side effects.
Of course! Our online platform enables ongoing support whenever you need it. To chat with your clinician, log into your profile, head to the ‘Products’ tab and select ‘Manage Treatment’. This is where you can message your assigned clinician.
